MUSEUM OF IRON ORE MINING

The Iron Ore Mining Museum is the only facility of its kind in Poland. It is located in underground corridors and is entirely a life-size model of underground iron ore workings. It was designed on the basis of a scenario by Tadeusz Loster, M.Sc. - head of the Department of Mining History and Mining Technology at the Coal Mining Museum in Zabrze.

In 2009 the museum was added to the Silesian Voivodeship Monuments of Technology Route. The exhibition features machines and tools that were equipment of such mines as Rudniki, Wręczyca, Barbara and Szczekaczka in Brzeziny, as well as learning about old methods of iron ore mining.
