MUZEUM CZĘSTOCHOWSKIE
Operating for more than a century, the Czestochowa Museum is the oldest cultural institution in the region, which not only collects mementos of tradition and history, but also conducts social and cultural activities. The museum's collections include art history, natural history, archeology and ethnography exhibits.
The most important exhibition object belonging to the Częstochowa Museum is the former Town Hall, where one can see a permanent exhibition entitled. "The History of the City of Częstochowa Stage I."
Among the most popular branches of the Czestochowa Museum is the Poetry House - Halina Poswiatowska Museum, housed in the house of the Myga family (the poet's maiden name). On display are not only poems, but also photographs, fragments of letters and the autobiography "A Story for a Friend". Halina Poswiatowska is also dedicated to the Bench on Najświętszej Maryi Panny Avenue - a monument unveiled in 2007 depicting a woman with a cat curled up at her feet.
